Visit from CureKids reminds us what it's all about

The Cure Kids Great Adventure Race 2015 is now just one week away. What better way to wrap up the year's fundraising than with lunch (we have a bit of a food theme going this year) and a visit from the Cure Kids crew?

Team captain Alan, sporting a broken finger but allowed back on his bike just in time for next week's race, kicked things off by giving us an update on fundraising this year (almost $14,000 raised this year), contributing to an overall total of $52,000 over the last four years.

Kelly from Cure Kids  told us about some of the research that these funds support - including a recent breakthrough in Batten's disease research.

Then we heard from Tiff and her daughter Eva, whose inspirational story really reminded us all how precious life is, and how important it is that we all do what we can to help kids like Eva living with serious and life-threatening illnesses.

Our last few fundraising auctions are running now, and the countdown is on for race day next Friday. Thanks to all who have helped and supported this year's campaign so far, and good luck to the race team!
