Theta's Microsoft MVPs wake up to good news

Our 4 Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) at Theta opened their inboxes today with a pleasant surprise….

Tharanga Chandrasekara, Wagner Silveira, Elaiza Benitez and Soheil Bakhshi have all received the fantastic news that they've once again been recognised for their outstanding technical expertise and all-around contribution to the wider tech community.

Every year, Microsoft recognises its global technical experts and community leaders with MVP status. This highly coveted role is given to those who are always on the "bleeding edge" and have an unstoppable urge to get their hands on Microsoft’s new, exciting technologies. They have extensive knowledge of Microsoft products and services and bring together diverse platforms, products and solutions, to solve real-world problems.

As fellow teammates of Wagner, Elaiza, Soheil and Tharanga, we can confirm that this is indeed the case. They go the extra mile, dedicating days of their free time to our local NZ tech communities – including user groups and schools. Despite their busy schedules, they always find time to make things better and keep it fun along the way.  As Jeff Wogen, our Head of Digital, puts it, they're "the epitome of what the programme is all about".

A huge congratulations to our MVPs for another year of outstanding contributions and your continued dedication to excellence. Very proud to have you on the Theta team.

Tharanga Chandrasekara: Business Applications MVP (recognised for the 6th year)

Wagner Silveira: Microsoft Azure MVP (recognised for the 5th year)

Elaiza Benitez: Business Applications MVP (recognised for the 4th year)

Soheil Bakhshi: Data Platform MVP (recognised for the 3rd year)

More about the MVP programme

Microsoft has been awarding MVP status for over 20 years to a global community of over 4,000 technical experts and community leaders across 90 countries/regions. Key benefits to MVPs include early access to Microsoft products, direct communication channels with product teams and an invitation to the Global MVP Summit, an exclusive annual event. They also have a very close relationship with the local Microsoft teams in their area, who are there to support and empower MVPs to address needs and opportunities in the local ecosystem.
