Directions EMEA 2019

I’m on my way to Directions EMEA with my colleague Wagner Silveira. This is my first time in Vienna and also to Directions EMEA. Wagner and I presented in the last two Directions ASIA conferences, but I’m sure the vibe is totally different in Directions EMEA.

We landed safely in Vienna after flying more than 18,000 km. Travelling for more than 24 hours seems normal for those of us who live in New Zealand. Sometimes it feels like we’re far away from the rest of the world, but that’s the same feeling that holds us tight to our beautiful island nation.

An overview of the sessions

We will be conducting three sessions, and all our sessions are focused on integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with the outer world using Azure Integration Services. We’re planning to take the audience through some of the interesting Azure technologies that are built to make integration life easy. If you are planning or already working with integration scenarios, you might want to book your slot with us.

Sessions :

“Logic Apps x Microsoft Flow, which one should I choose?" | Date: Wednesday, October 9, 2019 | From: 15:30 to 16:15 | Room: HALLG1

Unlocking new integration potential for Dynamics 365 BC with Azure Event Grid and Azure Integration | Date: Thursday, October 10, 2019 | From: 11:00 to 11:45 | Room: HALLG2

Exploring Azure Integration Services - Extending D365 BC with the power of integration | Date: Thursday, October 10, 2019 | From: 16:00 to 16:45 | Room: HALLG1

Our Theta team

This year we’ve got four people attending Directions EMEA representing Theta; Joerg Rau (Head of Dynamics 365 & frequent Directions EMEA attendee), Carl Head, Wagner Silveira and myself. We plan to attend all the possible sessions we can, learning about the latest and greatest technologies related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC and keeping toe to toe with all the other partners in Europe and the US. When we get back to New Zealand, we hope to be able to add more value and flavour to the solutions we deliver to our customers with our new learnings!

If you see us during the conference (I’m sure you will) don’t be a stranger and come and say hi. We’d love to get to know you and who knows the possibilities that might open with just a small “hi”. See you there!

Tharanga Chandrasekara is a senior consultant in our Dynamics 365 team and has been a Microsoft MVP since 2017.
